Well, I'm back in Minnesota! I'm headed to the lakes tomorrow - I'm super excited, I really need some quality family and relaxation time!!

Fruit Guy

One of my favorite things here in LA - is the Fruit Guy.

There are guys (sometimes women) who set up fruit stands near intersections, gas stations, highway entrances, etc. You can choose your favorite fruits, they cut it in front of you, and put it in a bag this size - for 5 dollars.

Today I got melon, mango and pineapple. They also put chili powder, salt and lime juice over it all --- It's amazing.

I had a pretty awesome weekend - Got to go to a "Line Introduction" party for a couple fashion & product designers for work; I brought Liza (my boss from TOMS) with me - it was fun to catch up with her. I went shopping/driving around West Hollywood and Westwood with my room mate Becca. I got another tattoo, so did Becca(haven't told my parents until just... now). Then Saturday night, we went to Glow Santa Monica which was this CRAZY event around the Santa Monica pier & 3rd Street Promenade. Sunday, we went to Bel Air then went to a Pentecostal church - which of course was an experience, but I definitely enjoyed the worship style. Then hung out around the pool for a couple hours and relaxed for the rest of the night!

Weekend, Here I come.

I'm looking forward to the weekend.
I've been pretty annoyed with work - which has pushed me to get involved with the church. I've decided that I'm going to get involved at Bel Air Pres. Abbi and I went to church Sunday morning and the service and the past three Sundays have pushed me to join this community. I got signed up for a Habitat for Humanity project for this Saturday - I'm mentoring underprivileged kids next weekend, and I went to the young adults worship service last night.
Last night at the worship service I met a girl who has a small group/bible study in my area of LA and a guy (Jed) from Minnesota. I talked to Jed about how much I missed the Minnesota lakes for the 4th - he completely agreed.
I've decided that since I'm not totally loving work right now - that I'm going to throw myself into this community and meet new people and start serving.
